Situated close to the beachfront at the heart of Arcachon this museum and aquarium is one of the more interesting visitor attractions in the town. Within the facility is a large aquarium that is dedicated to not only a large collection of animals from the Arcachon Basin and from further a field. The museum holds a good selection of artefacts, photographs and documents that relate to the history of the community, telling the story of Arcachon.
