Situated in the house where Fédéric Auguste Bartholdi was born in 1834, this museum is dedicated to the life and times of the great artist and sculptor. He is probably best known around the world for being the designer of the Statue of Liberty, which stands in New York Harbour, a gift from the French in the 19th Century to the United States. The museum has a collection of Bartholdi’s works, documents and some artefacts which related to his life.
