The lake is one of the central draws to this small town. It is part of a very natural feeling environment, surrounded by woodland and water, but in fact the lake is a man-made facility that was put there as a place of leisure and recreation. Local people and visitors bask next to the lake in the summer months, lapping up the sun-rays and enjoying a great deal of swimming and sports in the clean, clear blue waters.
