Acting as a very different place to rest and relax in the town, this large park to the west of the main town centre is a pastoral wonderland and cuts a stark contrast to the many sandy beaches that surround the coast. Filled with trees, shrubs and flowers, many walkers and cyclists use the park for exercise and it is a great place to get involved in casual sports events. In the summer months many enjoy picnics at the heart of the park.
