This church is one of the most recognised buildings in the old town area of Briancon. The two looming towers dominate the skyline of Briancon, and cast a shadow across the narrow winding streets that lie below. The church was designed and built by Vauban and is very similar in character to his other work. Heavily fortified, the church could easily be confused with a small castle, impenetrable, yet in a strange way beautiful.
