As with almost any major French town or city, the administrative headquarters is a phenomenally important building, politically and socially in the community. Dijon is certainly no exception, and the city hall has been constructed to show the affluence of the city and reflect the importance of the Burgundy region which it serves. The hall is open to the public and has a regular selection of exhibitions in the front foyer and some of the reception rooms.
