Costi, one of the greatest sculptures ever to have lived was very fond of Bergerac. So much so that in the year 2000 he decided that he would donate almost all of his work to the town on the condition that it is put on permanent public display for the people of the country and the world to enjoy. The local authority was happy to do this and the result is this fantastic museum which is filled with masterpiece after masterpiece.
