This enormous forest sprawls for miles to the south of the town of Arcachon. Surrounding the bottom of the Dune de Pyla, the forest has for many years been considered one of the finer pine forests in the area. There are many walking and hiking trails that visitors can take through the forest, travelling from the Arcachon Basis, past the Dune de Pyla and towards the sea on the other side. There are several campsites within the forest which is rich in wildlife.
