The Dune de Pyla is one of the most famous natural phenomena in the southern areas of France. The enormous sand dune is situated to the south of the town of Arcachon and is a massively imposing pat of the natural landscape. Visitors are invited to make the hot and hard climb to the top of the dune which is about a hundred and twenty feet above sea level. The dune is around three kilometres in length and from the summit the views are spectacular.
