The English Garden is one of three main gardens that have been cultivated to serve the Chateau de Chantilly. This much wilder garden, compared to the ornate French Garden, is situated to the west and has a great selection of plants and trees that have been imported from England and planted here to represent a piece of the English countryside. The garden was begun in 1817 and has developed into a haven for wildlife.
