This large parkland area is situated at the heart of the community and as the name suggests would have originally made up the grounds to the old fortified castle where the powers that be controlled the community in times gone by. Today the area is primarily a pastoral scene of leisure, allowing tourists and locals to mingle together in the beautiful surroundings of mature trees, flower beds and carefully manicured lawns.
