Situated close to the river at the centre of what is now a road roundabout, these fountains are some of the oldest and best preserved in France. The original structure was put together under the Roman occupation of the area in the 1st or 2nd Century and in recent dives into the pool, coins have been found that date from these very early times. There is a flooded cavern under the pool that is continued to be excavated and explored and it is thought more treasures of the past could be found.
