Situated about half way between Dinard and Saint Malo on the main road that connects the two settlements is a large dam and tidal power supply centre. For many years this huge device has been used to harness the power of the sea to generate power to supply the two towns. The facility was built between 1963 and 1967 and has 24 turbines that simultaneously turn to create energy. The visitors centre offers tours in English.
