This is the largest of the three Lerin Islands that are situated off the coast of Cannes. It is a beautiful and fascinating place to visit, like a village on the edge of a great city. It is a very green and pastoral place, where visitors can walk and cycle, enjoying the views of the sea and the city. The island is home to a fort that was once the place of imprisonment for the unknown prisoner, simply known as ‘the man in the iron mask’. The ferry takes about 15 minutes from Cannes.
