Situated in the heart of the old town area of Cahors is one of the newest attractions in the city. Surrounded by ancient houses and places of business is this fine looking, if not a little unusual, mechanical clock. It was designed and built in 1997, and has fast become one of the symbols of the town. The interesting time piece drops metal balls through a series of metal chutes and cogs, making the mechanism go round and keep perfect time.
