Why are there several fields outside of Carnac filled with menhirs? Why are they positioned in parallel lines? How did they get there? Who put them there? These are just some of the questions that have been baffling scientists and archaeologists for centuries. Whatever the story, these fields of rocks in the area just outside of Carnac are some of the larges collections of their type in the world. They attract many thousands of visitors every week during the summer.
