As you might expect from the name, the Middle Castle is located at the heart of the walled area that surround the chateau building. This ancient building is one of the most impressive in the town. Because it is located at the centre of the fortifications it has been better preserved than some of the more exposed parts of the chateau. It is possible to get tours around the building in a variety of language, pointing out the importance of certain parts of the structure.
