This museum really is something quite unexpected to find in Boulogne-sur-Mer. It is in fact the house where the extremely famous liberator of Argentina, Bolivia and Peru ended his life. He was an exiled hero, and it is little known that he lived out his days in this sleepy French seaside town. The museum is dedicated to his life and works and is owned by the government of Argentina, who are keen to celebrate one of their historical heroes, Saint Martin.
