The French Resistance were one of the bravest groups of people in the Second World War, fighting tirelessly and at great personal risk to ensure that the Allied forces had the best chance of defeating the Nazi occupiers in France and Europe. This museum looks closely at the way that these people lived and worked in this town and so many across the nation in those dark days of Europe, when things were changing at an uncontrollable rate.
