This is without doubt the most impressive church in Boulogne, tucked away in the corner of the old city. The beautiful building has a long and illustrious history. Built between 1827 and 1866 the church was largely created by the local people, without a great deal of guidance from trained architects. The result is a fascinating Romanesque piece of architecture with a huge spire that can be seen from across the town and is one of the symbols of Boulogne.
