Notre Dame is one of the largest and most beautiful churches in Dijon. The church took around twenty years to complete, between 1220 and 1240. It was constructed in a traditional Burgundy Gothic style and is decorated with dozens of false gargoyles on every major aspect. On top of the church is the famous Jacquemart Clock which was brought by Phillip the Bold from Flanders to Burgundy in 1382. This great clock remains one of the iconic symbols of the city today.
