Laurent Vianay was responsible for designing this impressive centrally located church in Cannes. The building was constructed to replace the 1580 church which was destroyed. A long and illustrious history, it is said that Napoleon Bonaparte spent a night at this church on his way into exile on Elba. The main door to the church is quite an attraction, covered in ceramic tiles. The church has still not been completed and is classed ‘a work in progress’.
