This austere building took three years to build and was completed in 1774. It houses the town hall of Bordeaux and is one of the most interesting and beautiful examples of municipal architecture in the region. The vast building stands in Place Berland and dominates the centre of the old city. It is possible to go inside the building at certain times and marvel at the fascinating art collection and interior fixtures, living history you can feel part of.
