This beautiful piece of Roman architecture is largely ruined, but it is still possible to make out some of the design. Situated outside the old city on a hill, the twenty seven metre high construct is thought to have either been a tomb or cenotaph. It is clearly visible from most of the town, and the views from the area around the construction are extremely good. On a clear day you can se the whole of the town and a great deal of the local countryside.
