This square is considered by most to be the centre of Aix-en-Provence. Flanked by a series of beautiful buildings, including the magnificent Town Hall on one side, the square has evolved into one of the most popular meeting places in the area. Locals and visitors all like to congregate in the square and sit in one of the fine cafes or bars, watching the world go by. Most Sunday mornings, a brass band performs in this square.
