Of the three major public parks and gardens in the heart of Chartres, this is the closest to representing a botanical garden. Although there aren’t a great deal of exotic plants in the traditional sense, the dedication to landscaping and planting the area is obvious for all to see. There are a marvellous collection of flowers that have been arranged to give to maximum colour and vibrancy to the tranquil area. Much of the park has lawns.
