This museum is the only official museum in the old town area of Autun. The collection features a great deal of works of art from across the country and Europe. There is a n extensive exhibition of Gallo-Roman artefacts that have been found in the local area, a place which has a long and interesting social history. The paintings by some of the great Flemish artists are well worth a look when you visit the museum.
