These royal apartments are one of the more fascinating parts of the old town in Chinon. Located within the walls of the castle, they were originally built during the 12th Century. The beautiful buildings were added to in the 15th Century and the 16th Century, making them quite a large complex of living areas. Filled with interesting and beautiful artefacts, the apartments are well worth a look, to get the idea of how the dignitaries of the area once lived.
