This wonderful ancient church is one of the more interesting architectural monuments in the town, having a history that goes back the best part of a thousand years. Thanks to a major overhaul in the mid 1980s the majority of the church has been restored to its original glory. The nave is thought to date from the 12th Century and many of the internal fixtures have been developed over the following centuries, making it a great looking piece of mixed style ecclesiastical design.
