There is thought to have been a place of worship on this site since the 9th Century, although much of the modern church has been recreated in more recent times. The church underwent some significant damage during the fighting of the two world wars, but has been carefully restored to its former glory. Within are some interesting and beautiful artefacts and carvings, not to mention the beautiful stained glass.
