In the shadow of the great cathedral, this museum is housed in the tranquil and architecturally spectacular 13th Century former monastery building. The museum is generally focussed on the life and times of the people of the Savoy region and has a large collection of artworks from the local area, including some fine 13th Century wall paintings. There are also many artefacts that have been dug up from the town in the regular excavations that take place.
