A city full of history and wonder, there are times when Avignon can get very hot in the summer. The perfect escape from this stifling heat is a visit to the swimming pool on the banks of the river. The open air centre is open to the public throughout the summer months. There is a nice area around the pool where locals and visitors like to bask in the sunshine and take in the breathtaking views of the ancient city, before cooling off in the water.
