Tour St. Nicholas is situated on the historic Rue St. Nicholas, close to the inner city areas of Bordeaux. The beautiful stone structure was originally built as a lookout point, to help defend the city against attack, when France was nothing more than a series of dukedoms, long before unification. The ancient tower has become a monument to the past and offers wonderful views of the city from its vantage point.
