The Unterlinden Museum is one of the best public museums and galleries in the north-east of France. It is famous because it contains the Issenheim Alterpiece, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful and moving artworks ever to have been created. The museum also features a great deal of other art exhibitions covering a wide variety of subjects, talking real life affairs and displaying artefacts that are related to Burgundy life.
