The Vieille Ville is the oldest part of Briancon, and is one of the best areas to visit first when you arrive in the mountain town. The delightful narrow and winding streets take a visitor on a magical journey through the past, passing untouched houses and streets that look like they will never fit in as part of the 21st Century. The Grand Rue is a fantastic sight to behold, filled with streams and fountains that gush through the heart of the old town.
