Situated actually within the walls of the old chateau, this is quite an unusual museum as it is dedicated to all things volcanic. There are very few institutions of this sort anywhere in the world and within the museum there are many exhibitions that tell visitors more about how and why volcanoes are formed and erupt. There are pictures, artefacts and samples collected from sites where devastation has been caused by the might of Mother Nature.
