A wonderful piece of architecture and one of the few large chateaus in this area, this lovely castle is a dominant part of the local area. Historically the occupants of the chateau would have had a great deal of influence over the local region, with many of the nearby houses being homes to servants of the lord of the manor. Today the chateau is a visitor attraction and many flock to the castle, especially in the summer months, to enjoy strolling around its fine gardens.
