If you travel south of the main area of the town, you will soon come across this wonderful piece of forest and woodland that is a real subject of pride for the local people. The natural area which is protected by the government is home to a large amount of interesting and diverse wildlife and plants, many of which are almost exclusive to this environment. Walkers are encouraged to keep to the paths that have been carved through the forest in order to keep it unspoilt.
