The Municipal Museum is housed on the sit of an old abbey and tells the interesting and colourful history of this community, from the very earliest settlements to the present day. There are a great many artefacts on display that have been collected over a period of many hundreds of years. These fit together nicely with the paintings and maps that illustrate the way in which things have changed in this area and the hopes that the community have for the future.
