The forest is one of the best and most famous pieces of natural beauty in the area and spreads for miles around the southern and western areas of the small community, tracking the banks of the river. The woodland area is home to a great many interesting and rare types of animal, bird and plant. It is a fine place to take a stroll on a summers’ day, protected from the heat by the shade of the vast forest canopy.
