The main beach is situated to the south of the main town centre and stretches for a good distance along the interesting and at times rough Atlantic coast. In the winter it is the perfect place to go for an exhilarating walk, looking out across the seascape and being battered by the strong winds and elements. In the summer however, the picture is quite different, a feeling of calm, a feeling of tranquillity and a great place to enjoy the summer sun.
