You have to travel a little bit off the traditional beaten track for tourists to come across this gem in the outskirts of the city. The huge parkland area was once part of a private estate that belonged to a 19th Century house and wealthy homeowner. It is obvious from the design of the gardens and park that this was the case, with strange columns dotted around in places where you wouldn’t expect them. The area is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet.
