It took architect G. Andre five years to complete this magnificent theatre, which first opened to the public in 1877. The theatre is considered by most to be one of the closest to an Italian theatre in France. The famous venue hosts a great variety of events throughout the year. The eclectic programme likes to showcase new talent, as well as attracting a fine crop of artists from the more established ranks of European and world theatre.
