One of several world class castles in this area of France, the building is one of the best recognised in the region. On one side the chateau looks very much like a standard 15th Century castle, magnificently designed and exquisitely executed in a range of local building styles. On the other side however is a much more medieval looking structure, surrounded by the ruins of a much older building that has long since fallen away. Within the building are many pieces of period furniture and beautifully created paintings.
