This church is a very hard one to place in one architectural style. It is a modern creation and has therefore drawn on the influences of many historic styles including Romanesque and Gothic, but really it could only ever be classed as contemporary. Built in the mid 1950s by Koch, the church received a great deal of criticism in its early days and is still not without some dissenting local voices. However a step inside the elaborately decorated building will change the mind of even the most hardened critic as it simply glows with wonderful stained glass and architectural exclusivity.
