Architecturally this is one of the most interesting buildings in this area of the city. Located close to the River Rhone, the large building has been in use since the 17th Century, firstly as one of the oldest vets training centres in the world and then as a convent in the 19th Century. Today it is home to the elite Conservatory of Music which offers tuition to some of the brightest stars in classical music in France. There are regular public concerts held at the building.
