The Dordogne River is one of the most recognised names in Europe, and this small community has been based on its banks for many hundreds of years. The river is extremely narrow at this point, much closer to the source than a great deal of the better known towns and cities that line its path to the sea. The river offers a great walking trail through the community and out into the hilly countryside, offering some splendid views.
