The Dordogne River and the valley that it has carved out of the French countryside is one of the most visited and well loved areas of France. The great confluence passes by the edge of this community and offers a wonderful natural contrast to the man made historic buildings of the centre. The river is home to a great deal of unusual and rare plant and wildlife which make walks along its banks a fine way to spend a day.
