This wonderful park is situated close to the cape, in the estuary that surrounds this beautiful beach town. It is open to the public and in places merges parkland with marshland. The result is that there are a great many interesting sea birds attracted to the park, nesting there and wading in the shallow waters that surround the edges. The park is a popular place for local people and visitors to go to escape the hustle and bustle of town life.
