This fine set of gardens is quite different to the Jardin des Plantes in Paris or any of the other major cities in France. This beautiful area of green land is situated at the very heart of the city and offers a place of rest and relaxation for locals and visitors. Wooded by large mature trees it does not have hothouses full of plants like the larger versions of the botanical gardens in other places, but it does have a good selection of plants from across the world that grow outside.
